The rainy season is a time of high humidity, which greatly affects the health of our skin. Various skin diseases can occur during this period, including fungal infections, irritations, and allergies. By being aware and using proper care methods, we can protect our skin from potential problems.
Humidity in the air can lead to the accumulation of fungi, especially in areas with high moisture, such as between the legs or under the arms. This can cause itching, red rashes, and inflammation. Fungi are microorganisms that naturally exist in the environment and on normal skin, but humid conditions promote their growth. Some common fungal skin diseases include:

Tinea is a fungal infection that can occur in humans, animals, or soil. It appears as a red, ring-shaped rash with clear edges, often accompanied by itching or tightness. Ringworms can occur in various parts of the body.
Pityriasis Versicolor is a superficial fungal infection. This condition presents with either white or light brown patches on the skin.

For individuals with sensitive skin or a history of dermatitis, the rainy season can trigger skin allergies and inflammation due to chemical irritants in the environment. Skin inflammation doesn't have a clear cause but may be due to the body’s response to triggers like changing weather. During the rainy season, strong chemicals in skin products or pollutants in rainwater can cause inflammation.

While the rainy season may bring various skin diseases, proper skin care can help prevent and reduce the risks. Taking care of your skin during this season will keep it healthy and beautiful.
